An Evening Drive

Im constantly pulling over to the side of the rode, and jumping out to take a shot or two . Time is usually short , so thats about all I get .  So when I actually have extra time , I try to make the most of it and put on my boots , and get right in there for a good bunch of shots.

Signs, signs .. everywhere!!  Drives me mad!

  Id been wanting to stop at this old beaver pond for a while, was well worth the 10 minute hike to get to it.   All shots are untouched , save for a crop or two .   Editing suggestions are welcomed, as are all comments :) Enjoy your day !  Happy Shooting .

Out for a Stroll

We don't get that many sunny , and reasonably warm winter days, so when we do I go hiking with the dogs...  on the REALLY nice days I go for a stroll to the local grocery store :)  Always used to forget my camera lol !  Not this time :)

Just getting started .. this path leads to a bicycle path.. not that I ever walk on it :) lol

It always amazes me that the stream doesn't freeze solid.. even in -30C 

Everything was frozen solid except this patch, weird :)

Snow, Tracks , and my Truck

I hope you all like snow :)  Pretty much every picture from now until March will have it in there some where! We are just getting to the deep freeze portion of our winter,  temperatures will continue to drop for the next month.   The only bonus is the days are getting just a little longer each day . 

I hope you all enjoy , as always comments and editing suggestions are much appreciated.  ( These are all untouched shots ) 

A cold winters day

So much for global warming, as I type this half the planet is covered in snow :) An exaggeration I know ... but still I can not remember having this much snow in December before. I was watching BBC news last night, and even England and half of Europe are blanketed in the white stuff. I was going to post some warm and fuzzy pictures from summer, but another snow day seems more appropriate.

Winter has definately arrived :)

Brrrr the last two days have been -10C plus some crazy windchills, so it feels like -20 to -25C .   The dogs however still need to be walked.   As a small bonus for me, Ive found that these freezing days can make for some good shots, providing the camera doesn't freeze lol.   Today was one of those good days.  For the first time ever,  I saw two hawks together in a tree and luckily the battery held out long enought to get a few shots off. 

Snow, more snow and an Icicle.

The day of December brought along snow, lots of that really cool, big, flakey kinda snow that sticks to everything.  A week later it is still here.  Guess winter is coming early this year.
